Structure Design Cork Flooring Layers Uniclic Hdf Hot Coating Overview Tired of ceramic tiles and stone floors. Love the look of hardwoods but need a floor that is hardier. Then look to our newest flooring line, Forna Cork Flooring’s 11mm (7/16inch) Design Cork floating floors. We’ve designed a cork floor that can take the harsh beating of the daily grind while carrying off traditional hardwood beauty. Design Cork floating floors are Forna Cork’s A game tough cork floors. We’ve combined a tough Swedish-engineered laminate veneer to cork backing and insured it can go in your high-traffic areas. Its super tough surface is ideal for commercial grade spaces like hotels and restaurants, while still being comfortable enough for a private home space. Have underfloor radiant heating? No problems, at 11mm (7/16inch) Design Cork floating floors give you a cork floor that works effectively with underfloor radiant heating. Our Latte cork planks are a picture-perfect print of natural hardwood boards. Yep, you heard it, a picture/print hardwood grain on cork. And even though it’s a picture, don’t think it can’t compare to the real thing, you get added depth with slightly rough cuts so it even feels real. Latte is our medium color blend floor, so you get warm and cool tones all in one palette; coats of cream, beige and tan, dispersed among bands of softer browns. Like its namesake, Latte is a soothing cup of bliss. This elegant pattern is the perfect choice for a relaxed decor. The laminate layer of our Latte cork planks are made from PVC and phthalates free polypropylene, which keeps Forna’s green certificate firmly in place. We use the same polypropylene product used to create children’s toys, which means our floor is eco-friendly to produce, biodegradable and still environmentally sustainable. Advantages of this product are: NATURAL PRODUCT Cork is a purely natural product, which is extracted from the bark of the cork oak, which is mainly native to the Mediterranean region. No tree is damaged or felled by the peeling of the cork bark. Cork oaks grow up to 200 years old, so a cork oak can be peeled up to 20 times. Our cork flooring is mainly made of this fascinating and at the same time very versatile material – which makes it predestined for those who care about the environment and sustainability. THERMAL ISOLATION Due to its special cell structure (approx. 40 million cells per cm³) and its filling with an air-like gas, cork possesses unique properties, including high thermal isolation. Cork floors create an optimal floor temperature all year long – even in winter walking barefeet no longer causes cold feet. DURABLE The Hot-Coating surface protection makes the cork flooring durable and hard-wearing – in this way, even class 33 in the commercial sector and class 23 in the domestic sector is achieved. Thanks to this resistant coating, the cork floor retains its beauty for many years. IMPACT SOUND REDUCTION AND PERMANENTLY ELASTIC Equally noteworthy are the impact and sound-absorbing properties of cork (impact sound reduction of 18dB) – also thanks to the honeycomb cell structure. Cork floors are permanently elastic: the natural flexibility gives a particularly pleasant feeling when walking and is also gentle to the ankles. WATERTIGHT JOINTS REQUIRES TAPING BLOCK TO INSTALL Exceptionally durable and waterproof, our Swiss cork flooring ensures tight joints and improved wear resistance. The patented Uniclic system provides a highly secure and watertight lock, surpassing standard versions. While installation may require extra effort with a taping block, it guarantees precision and prevents damage. Our adapted Unilin click system exceeds European Standards, eliminating open joints and ensuring stability. Use a 20 cm taping block to avoid edge damage and maintain the flooring’s pristine appearance. More.. .
